On May 30th our residents took part in National Senior Health & Fitness Day. In the morning we took a refreshing walk outside to get our bodies ready for the day ahead. In the afternoon we held a brain fitness class which included solving word picture puzzles, answering trivia and a spelling bee. Following that, they enjoyed healthy snacks of yogurt, granola bars, cheese sticks and water. To end the day, Darlene Wierzba held a relaxation and meditation class which included gentle stretches, breathing exercises, calming ocean music, aroma therapy and relaxation.
