On Tuesday, February 13th we celebrated what is known as Shrove Tuesday or pancake day with a special pancake breakfast buffet with several fruit toppings, chocolate chips, whipped topping and more. Sarah, Dining Services Director made pancakes, made to order eggs as well as bacon, sausage and warm oatmeal. Everything was very delicious. Later in the morning a few residents gathered to make a king cake cheese ball that was later served for lunch. We enjoyed a nice celebration at lunch with crab salad, rice with red beans and sausage wrapped with crescent rolls. For dessert we enjoyed some Paczki. Paczki is very popular during Mardi Gras or better known as Fat Tuesday. Thank you to our Dining Services staff for such a wonderful day of delicious meals.
