To the staff of Westbrook, We heard that today would be staff appreciation celebration. We have had a hard time remembering each of the names of all the wonderful employees at Westbrook who took care of our mother, Roz over the nearly 9 years she called Westbrook "home". We were touched at her service when a dozen of you showed up to pay you respects and each laying a rose in her honor. We were humbled at your taking the time from your busy lives to share this special time and honor her in this way. We had little time to settle her apartment before we left to return home. You came regularly to check in on us to ask us if there was anything we needed or anything you could do. You made packing simpler and less stressful. Always a smile you had and a helping hand to lend mom. You took her shopping and out to lunches and special day trips she would tell us about. You shopped for her when she could no longer go out herself. You took care of moms needs, combing her hair, putting on those eyelash extensions when she could no longer get them on herself. You dressed her adding a touch of the jewelry she liked to wear. You sent us pictures of mom when she no longer could communicate with us on the phone. And shared our pictures we sent, so she saw her latest great grand daughter before she passed. And when she could no longer feed herself or bathe you treated her with love and respect our family could now. She was part of your family as you were to her. We saw your love and care, every time we visited mom. All of you were special to here and we want to express at this special celebration our gratitude to all of you for the hard work you did on our mothers behalf. You all deserve this special day.

Dear Friends, Thank you for the beautiful throw in memory of dad. Heartfelt thanks, as well, for caring for dad so lovingly and well over the years. Westbrook was truly home for dad and you were indeed, his second family. He often told us how grateful he was to live there and how wonderful everyone was to him. Your care and compassion at the tie of his death are appreciated too.

Dear Lura, Robert and I would like to express our appreciation for the many activities you have going on at Westbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care. We enjoyed the special Christmas dinner you provided for the families of the residents. It was nice to get to see all the employees that care for the needs of our loved ones that evening. Thanks for the special outings you take the residents on in our county and beyond. Robert’s mother thoroughly enjoyed her trip back to Hardin County, which brought back many pleasant memories she had experienced in the past years. Thanks for all you do to make it seem like home.

Westbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care is not a facility where Dad lives, it is home! Our family visits Dad often, and we are always greeted and warmly welcomed by the staff. They and other residetns have become a second family for Dad and for us as well. With the passing of time and the professional care he has received at Westbrook, Dad is much more healthy and able to enjoy visiting with his neighbors and taking part in social activities and outings. When Dad was residing in other facilities, I would think of him often throughout the day and wonderif he was getting the care he needed. I still think of him often each day, but I never worry any more. I know he is happy in his home and that he well cared for and loved. Dad often remarks that all the nurses and staff are nice and that he likes living here at Westbrook. Our family is so blessed that Dad is doing Well. We are grateful for his home and for all those who care for him.

All your efforts in holding a bake sale with your residents to raise money for this cause is amazing and so appreciated! The money will be of great use for art supplies and needed display items as we continue in this exciting new adventure of opening an art studio/gallery in Wyandot Co. Thank you and God Bless you in your generosity.

Thank you for allowing us to come out for bingo and pizza! Along with the other FFA members, I have enjoyed meeting and spending time with all of you! Many people do not have the opportunity for these activities. It has been a great experience for all of us and we look forward to coming back soon. We all have enjoyed the activities. The pizza made was extremely good. Bingo was really fun too! If there is anything you would like us to do, we would be happy to come back for more good times. Thank you for everything, and we look forward to coming back.

To them and to the members of each of their families, thank you for your ongoing friendship and concern for Bill, including on the day he left this earth.
